Virginia Lynn Anderson
Virginia has been working in the healing field since the early
1990's and blends a wide range of healing modalities to
provide highly effective personalized sessions. While the
foundation for her work is in Craniosacral and Somato-Emotional
Release techniques, a session may also include other work
such as vibrational /sound healing, Reiki and shamanic
techniques. All work is aligned with the belief that the
body has its own innate intelligence and ability to heal
itself and Virginia helps facilitate this process in a
gentle, non-invasive way.

Maryellen Mahoney
Physical wellness and balance has always been of interest to
me. I have a fascination for the human body and the control
we have of our own well-being. After learning about the
Massage Therapy Program at the Connecticut Center for
Massage Therapy, I decided it was time to pursue my dream
career. Becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist has allowed me
to realize my passion and truly enjoy how I make my living
by contributing to the health and comfort of others.
I also enjoy skiing, biking, hiking, cooking, spending time
with my family, and entertaining at my home in Farmington.

David Sergel
My interest in natural healing and philosophy began in 1974,
in my hometown of Sydney, Australia, with the practice of
macrobiotics. From the beginning, I realized that the way of
macrobiotics, was the path that I wanted to follow. After
introductory studies in acupuncture and yoga, I left
Australia in February, 1978, to visit the Kushi Institute in
Boston, stopping off for a couple of months in Japan. It was
here that I met the late shiatsu master, Shizuto Masunaga.
He had studied macrobiotics with the founder of modern-day
macrobiotics, George Ohsawa. I spent four years in Tokyo,
studying at his center. During this time I met my wife, Toko,
who studied cooking for two years with Ohsawa's wife, Lima.
In July of 1982, we came to Boston, to study at the Kushi
Institute for a few months. Michio invited me to teach
there, which I did for the next 15 years, as well as running
a busy shiatsu practice.
I have written one book, 'The Natural Way Of Zen Shiatsu',
and am in the process of writing a series of books on The
Five Transformations Of Natural Energy, from the perspective
of personal observations of nature. Toko and I offer
macrobiotic services in Fairfield, CT.
