Sharon took her first yoga class in 2003 and quickly fell head over heels
in love with the practice. In 2005 she retired from a thirty-three year
corporate career and became a certified Kripalu Yoga instructor. West
Hartford Yoga has been her yoga home from the beginning of this journey. Sharon teaches a slow style of yoga focusing on breath, stretching, alignment, and release of deep tension. Her classes encourage students to go deeply into feeling as they practice and to make each posture their own. Up-leveling options are provided for those want more intensity, and gentle adjustments are made available for those wanting a softer practice. “Yoga has helped me find the pure pleasure in just being alive on this
planet. When I let it, my practice helps me experience each moment of life
more thoroughly…all the way down to my bones. I want to share that
experience… help others find the ease and bliss that’s available to them
