Teaching Yoga to Pregnant Women - for teachers
Saturday 1:00 - 3:00 pm
$40,  $30 if paid by July 10th, registration required

Get comfortable accommodating the needs of pregnant women in your current yoga classes. Prepare to teach a prenatal yoga class, or a whole series, with confidence. This two hour workshop will inform you of the unique needs of pregnant women, cover asanas and pranayama practices you can safely offer and those you should avoid. The first hour will be informative and the second hour will be an experience of prenatal yoga. All teachers from all yoga styles are welcome and will profit from this training.

Margaret teaches a restorative yoga and a prenatal yoga that are both soft, deep and soothing but at the same time, profoundly powerful and peaceful. "Yoga has challenged me by inviting me to pause at the intersection of my body's limits and my compassionate attention to my breath, thoughts and energy level. It's like reaching in opposite directions toward strength and softness and finding yourself balancing somewhere in the middle. The challenge of balancing effort and ease on the uneven surface of life seems both impossible and approachable and the prize is more power and more peace."
