In this once-per-month practice, you will be led through the full Primary Series of Ashtanga as originated in Mysore, India. Ashtanga offers the opportunity to link breath, bandhas (energy locks) and asanas (postures) that produce an intense internal heat and purifying sweat to detoxify the body. Use your breath as to build mental and physical strength and flexibility while maintaining a peaceful mind. Through a challenging series of postures separated by vinyasas, we build flexibility and strength in the legs, core, back, and arms, while expanding our mind-body connection through attention to willpower, breath awareness and spiritual practice.

Rebecca completed her 200-hr Hatha teacher training program in 2005 in Tampa, FL. A practitioner for over ten years, she has studied under various teachers in the US, and gained a deeper commitment to her practice after studying Ashtanga in Mysore, India in 2009.

Rebecca approaches yoga with happiness and an open heart, tailoring classes and workshops according to individual and/or group needs. Rebecca’s classes are at once challenging, relaxing and playful. Rebecca integrates movement, breath, fluidity, and stillness to students of all levels including beginners, special needs populations, advanced practitioners, and anyone open to finding spiritual, mental, and physical healing through yoga and asana.
