Locked hips wreak havoc on the practicing yogi. How often do
you get stuck in a Warrior Lunge? Or feel totally congested
in Baddha Konasana? Tight hamstrings lead to back pain and
postural imbalances, while bound hip flexors limit abdominal
strength and backbend fluidity. Students with hip
hypermobility have issues with stability and maintaining
alignment. This workshop addresses range of motion and hip
awakening from every conceivable angle. Special attention
will be devoted to the Iliopsoas. Exercises are derived from
hatha yoga, body therapy, and corrective exercise. Jill’s
signature Yoga Tune Up® and Core Integration exercises are
highlight of this course. Students of all skill levels and
flexibility/extensibility are welcome to explore their

Knee injuries sideline yogis and gym rats alike. The knees
often pay a price for poor alignment in both the hips and
ankles. Knee dysfunction does not exist in a vacuum, a
torqued knee will inevitably cause issues in that same leg's
ankle and hip, while causing compensation patterns in the
body's other leg and lower back. This workshop unravels bad
habits that lead to knee pain, and offers dozens of YTU
exercises that help knees in pain as well as "pre-hab" the
knee so that issues are kept at bay. Analyze muscle
imbalances, regain function, and open up new vectors of
motion to recondition the knees from inside-out. PS. Your

workshop breaks down the mechanics of "down-regulation"
before your body has a "breakdown." Learn how to breathe
correctly with sedating exercises from yoga, body therapy,
meditation, and self-massage. You will un-bind muscular
tension, relieve anxiety and enter into a profound state of
sleep. Come learn the age defying secrets of Yoga Nidra, or
"yogic sleep", and master the art of "Blissing Out." No Yoga
experience necessary. Students of any level are welcome.

As your yoga practice evolves, you may find that some of
your poses progress and feel expansive, while others are
stubborn and stuck. Your hips are a major component of
nearly every category of asana, from standing, to sitting,
to inversions. The hips can be a confusing maze of muscles
and bones. Many students will punish their hips, stretching
and overstretching to try to change a pose, resulting in
more frustration and pain. In reality, the hips are very
simple joints that are wildly misunderstood. Hip Helpers
will vastly improve your embodiment of your hip anatomy.
Learn how to skillfully connect to your hips, legs, and core
as they relate to the most classic poses in all of hatha
yoga. This class explores many of the major seated and
standing poses, and introduces multiple preparations and
variations to help anyone at any level improve their
postures.
