Our lives can be stressful. The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction series can help! Learn how to quiet your mind, tune-in to your body, and de-stress! The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction series is based on the work of Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn, and has helped thousands of people worldwide become more mindful in their daily lives.

Mindfulness practices include present moment awareness, sitting and walking meditation, breath awareness, body scan, mindful movement, mindful eating, mindful communication, and group support.

Sharon Gutterman, Ph.D. trained in an intensive program under the direction of Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn. She completed the practicum at U. Mass. Medical Center. Sharon has taught the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction series at WHY for several years. Her background also includes teaching self-care to physicians at Yale and U. Conn., facilitating mindfulness retreats in Israel, working in schools, and volunteering in correctional institutions.
