OVERVIEW
WHY's 200 hour teacher training is a unique experience
designed to guide you in becoming a dynamic, passionate,
intuitive teacher. Encompassing a variety of yogic traditions,
including trainings and workshops with national teachers, this
training will include both daily meditation and challenging
asana practices.
Strengthen your intuition, learn to read and feel the energy
of others, give intelligent and effective adjustments, and
support your students’ spiritual growth. Develop healthier
eating practices using food to create a strong body and clear
mind. Practice living and teaching from a space of compassion
and integrity while establishing a strong foundation in
intelligent vinyasa flow practice. WHY’s experiential Teacher
Training will transform your practice and your teaching, and
support you in living a healthier, more conscious life.
What is WHY Power Yoga?
WHY Power is a style of yoga created by
Barbara Ruzansky which
integrates her 20 years experience with many traditions
including Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow, Forrest, Kripalu, and Bikram
Yoga. WHY Power speaks to all body types and all levels of
practice, from beginner to more experienced practitioner. This
strong, dynamic, vinyasa practice challenges body and mind,
builds core power, brings energy to the legs, ignites internal
heat, promotes a cleansing sweat, and offers the opportunity
for deep healing and release. WHY Power is spiritually
nourishing, and carefully respects your physical and emotional
limitations while gently guiding you to expand your edges.
What will I learn?
Learn how to be an extraordinary yoga instructor, expanding
your ability to be present in your practice and in your life.
Break free from inhibitions, and speak and teach with
authenticity and passion. Develop the courage to move more
deeply in your own practice and to stay present while
exploring your edges. Bring personality and charisma to your
teaching, using simple, direct language.
You will learn to teach WHY Power, a vinyasa style of yoga,
and be encouraged to integrate a variety of styles and trust
your own voice. Learn to teach to multi-levels, to specific
injuries, and to sequence postures appropriately for beginning to
intermediate students. Training will focus on how to give
sensitive, intelligent, and effective adjustments; ethics;
philosophy; pranayama; meditation; and nutritional awareness..
WHY’s training will support healthy lifestyle changes
with a strong emphasis on holistic principles - including
principles of healthy eating and on developing intuition,
empathy and compassion. Learn how your food choices profoundly
affect your health, vitality, and quality of life. Further develop your skills for conscious living.
"Your greatest asset is not how much you know or how much
technical experience you have, but how you connect with
others, how you bring forth and share the personality
and the
delight of who you are, and how genuine you are with others." - Barbara

THE BUSINESS ASPECT Becoming a successful yoga instructor is more than simply
learning how to teach. You must also learn how to attract
students and run your own business – either as an independent
contractor or a studio owner. Barbara will draw on her twenty
years experience as a teacher and entrepreneur, running one of
the most successful studios in New England.
Kristen Wold, WHY’s business manager, will contribute her expertise, gained
from fifteen years in the corporate/financial world and at
